Would you like to practice yoga where you left off after TLC/New Beginner Series…with others who have taken the class? Or do you have some degree of fitness but would like a complete beginning yoga posture (asana) foundation?
I am offering new TLC-1 Yoga Series on Wednesdays, 12:15-1:45pm. It will start with breathing (pranayama-mostly alternate nostril breathing practice you have learned), deeper meditation, several rounds of Seated and Kitchen Counter Sun Salutations for warm-up and then move into “workshopping” and going deeper into at least 25 basic postures including standing and floor postures. You will learn and review postures each week to build a complete beginner repertoire.
You will learn the benefits, mechanics and names. As always, I’ll give you the personalized modifications for safety or additional challenge whether standing, sitting or on the floor. You’ll cultivate strength, balance, confidence, flexibility with integrated body/mind/breathing in a well-rounded practice.
What is different from the TLC 1 Monday drop-in class? A structured practice with detailed teaching of all new postures and your 8-week commitment to go to the next level. This class will better prepare one to enter the drop-in class of more experienced yoga practitioners…and feel competent to explore any beginner-advanced beginner yoga class with safety.
