Rossmoor Level 2-3 Advanced Beginner-Beginning Intermediate Yoga Series

The new Wednesday Yoga Series is for residents (guests if room) who are fairly fit, self-aware, experienced (but maybe have not done yoga for a long time), courageous or regular practicing advanced beginner-beginning intermediate. This class requires an awareness of basic breathing, postures, sun salutation postures and at least some knowledge of how to personally use props for best alignment. Rossmoor Restorative Yoga: The Art of Rejuvenation

Restorative Yoga comprises a series of well-supported floor postures allowing gravity to do the “work.” Deep releases of long-held tension expand range-of-motion while practicing “conscious relaxation” for an extended time to stimulate the body’s rejuvenation system. The focus is mind/body/breath effortlessness and ease. You will learn basic postures and how to use props to safely and comfortably to support the body toward harmony and balance. Instruction is compassionate, soothing, personalized and light-hearted. The experience is nourishing, grounding, and…blissing. No previous yoga required.
